Pratt Cassity, University of Georgia associate professor of public service and outreach for the School of Environmental Design, and a team of eight graduate students brainstorm design solutions for downtown, some of which would dramatically change the flow of downtown Moultrie. A meeting is set from 2 to 3 p.m. at the courthouse annex, second floor, so the team can present its designs and development ideas and receive public feedback. Although the Friedlander Building project is the focal point of redevelopment, the plan is meant to ripple throughout Moultrie, to foster a cultural boom downtown and to impact regional development as well. Project Connect Manager Bob Hopkins greatly encourages the public to attend. Photo by Lori Glenn/The Moultrie Observer
