Flag retirement ceremony Boy Scout troops 410 and 437 held a flag retirement ceremony Saturday at Edwards Motor Co. on Veterans Parkway. Almost 300 worn or damaged flags were disposed of. As part of the ceremony, scouts cut one of the discarded flags as Troop 410 Scoutmaster Marcus Flanagan, at podium, described what each stripe and the stars represent. From left in the foreground are Robert Jacobs, Matthew Flanagan, Ethan Taylor, Christopher McMurphy and Troop 437 Scoutmaster Scott Vandiver.
