Theresa Diane Duncan
MOULTRIE — Theresa Diane Duncan of Moultrie recently received her associate of arts degree in criminal justice from the University of Phoenix.
Duncan is the daughter of Elizabeth Duncan and the late Robert Duncan, and the granddaughter of the late Dorothy Ivey Spanns and Otis Baker.
A 2005 graduate of Colquitt County High School, Duncan works at Pizza Hut and Moultrie Eye Associates. She plans to pursue her master’s degree.
She is a member of Friendship Baptist Church, under the leadership of the Rev. Alfred Joiner.
Alicia R. Gunter
COLUMBIA, S.C. — Army Reserve Pfc. Alicia R. Gunter has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.
During the nine weeks of training, Gunter studied the Army mission, history, tradition and core values, as well as physical fitness. She also received instruction and practice in basic combat skills, military weapons, chemical warfare and bayonet training, drill and ceremony, marching, rifle marksmanship, armed and unarmed combat, map reading, field tactics, military courtesy, military justice system, basic first aid, foot marches, and field training exercises.
She is the daughter of Linda Suber of Georgia Highway 111, Moultrie, Ga.
The private is a 2003 graduate of Richard Arnold High School, Savannah, Ga.
Theresa Spooner
BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. — Theresa Spooner of Moultrie graduated from Gardner-Webb University during its recent 2009 Spring Commencement Ceremony.
Spooner received an associate’s degree in nursing and was among 512 graduates who received degrees from the university.
Jenna Milligan
MILLEDGEVILLE — Jenna Milligan of Moultrie completed courses with exemplary marks and made the Dean’s List for the 2009 Spring Semester from Georgia College and State University in Milledgeville, announced Georgia College President Dorothy Leland.
Georgia Southwestern
AMERICUS — Georgia Southwestern State University in Americus has announced two students from Moultrie graduated at the end of the spring term: Colby Simpson and David Adams.
In addition, Adams and Rebekah Tate were named to the Dean’s List, and Simpson, Jena McGilvray and Elizabeth Singley were named to the Academic Achievement List.
