Lewis-Carver family holds reunion

— — — —

Submitted by Rosilyn Anne Foster

The Lewis-Carver Reunion was held on Nov. 3, at Reed Bingham State Park. The co-hosts for the event were Rosilyn Anne Foster and Delbert T. Foster and Sandy Mann and Don Mann. This reunion was held for the descendants of the late John B. Lewis and Arizona Carver Lewis. The tables were decorated with miniature pumpkins, turkeys, and other fall ornamental items, which created a colorful atmosphere for the enjoyment of the food provided by various members of the Lewis-Carver descendants. The highlights of the day were stories told about childhood memories of events or special times with parents or grandparents or other family members. It was noted that Rosilyn Anne Lewis Foster, 73, daughter of the late Benjamin F. and Hildred Lewis, is now the oldest Lewis-Carver descendant and the youngest is her great-granddaughter, Rosalind Williams, 2, daughter of T. Lamar Williams and Tasci Williams of Cecil, Ga. The next Lewis-Carver Reunion will be held during the Fall of year 2014.
