Jett Croy, right, presented a copy of her recently published book, ‘A Stroll Down Memory Lane with Jett Spangler Croy’ to Irene Godwin of the Ellen Payne Odom Genealogy Library on Jan. 4. This manuscript was given to the printer just prior to Croy’s 95th birthday. It contains more than 400 pages of family history, short stories, some written more than half a century age, photographs and memorabilia. She has lived in Moultrie more than 42 years. Her husband was the late Alford B. Croy, who was a Baptist minister. He was a native of Arkansas, and she a native of Lee County, Va. She is a retired employee of USDA, Farmers Home Administration, having started her career in her hometown of Jonesville, Va., and retiring from the Moultrie office after 25 years of service. After her husband’s death, in 2003, she continued making Moultrie her home, having lived here 38 years at that time.
