Knockout roses have stunning flower power
Most roses available today can be grouped into six categories including hybrid teas, floribunda, grandiflora, climber/rambler, miniatures, and the bush or shrub roses. Common selections of shrub roses include the David Austin “English” roses and the Knockout roses (Rosa ‘RADrazz’) series which were created by rose breeder William Radler. Many landscapers and gardeners select roses from this group because of their prolific blooms throughout the entire growing season, as well as better disease resistance to black spot, one of the main fungal problems of roses.

'Exercise is Medicine' symposium at Valdosta State
Valdosta State University’s Exercise Physiology Club will host the Exercise is Medicine Symposium from 7:30 a.m. until 2 p.m., Saturday, March 29 in the Jennett Lecture Hall located in the Education Building. This event is open to the public.
Moultrian John Pope to compete for Mr. ABAC title
John Pope from Moultrie will compete with 14 other men for the title of Mr. ABAC at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College on April 2. The theme for this year’s event is “Men in Uniform.”
