7 residents report they are crime victims

MOULTRIE — Seven Colquitt County residents reported over the weekend they were victims of property theft. Items reported stolen included cash, jewelry, a car stereo, copper, puppies and wheel spinners.
The value of the items reported stolen and damage caused by the thefts was estimated at about $7,515. Those who reported being the victims of theft were:
Yadira Garcia reported Friday a thief stole her purse, containing her identity card, $40 cash, and her Social Security card, from Sanderson Farms on Highway 133 South between Feb. 7 and Feb. 29. The value of the stolen items was $119.
Shavon Hargrove, of Fourth Avenue Northeast, reported a thief stole a CD player from his Mazda Protιgι Thursday. The value of the stolen CD player was about $220.
Melissa Clayton reported a thief stole $476 cash from her wallet from her Ford Mustang while it was parked at Express Lane on South Main Street between 2:20 p.m. Saturday and 3:04 a.m. Sunday.
Jamal Walker, of 15th Street Southeast, reported a thief stole three Davin’s wheel spinners from his Acura 3.5 RL between 10:30 p.m. Saturday and 7:57 a.m. Sunday. The value of the stolen spinners was $1,800.
Needam Carver reported a thief damaged the air conditioning units at two rental properties on McMullen Road and stole the copper from inside between Feb. 18 and 2:45 p.m. Sunday. Damage and the value of the stolen copper was $4,100.
Utahna Bentley, of Bob Taylor Road, reported a thief stole two mixed-breed puppies from her front yard between 6 p.m. Friday and 4 p.m. Saturday. The value of the stolen dogs was $300.
Christina Johnson, of Highway 319 North in Norman Park, reported a thief stole a silver necklace with a Playboy bunny charm from her repossessed car Thursday. The value of the stolen necklace was estimated at $500. Johnson gave sheriff’s deputies the name of a male suspect.

Phillip Bryan Potter, 45, of 178 Clinton Road, was charged Friday with driving with a suspended license and driving with an expired tag.
Carmen Michelle Pecina, 35, of 227 Magnolia Ave., was charged Friday with theft by shoplifting.
Kareem Washington, 20, of 909 First St. N.W., was charged Friday with duty to obey an officer, disorderly conduct and illegal possession of alcohol.
