7 residents report they are crime victims

MOULTRIE — Seven Colquitt County residents reported over the weekend they were victims of property theft. Items reported stolen included cash, jewelry, a car stereo, copper, puppies and wheel spinners.
The value of the items reported stolen and damage caused by the thefts was estimated at about $7,515. Those who reported being the victims of theft were:
• Yadira Garcia reported Friday a thief stole her purse, containing her identity card, $40 cash, and her Social Security card, from Sanderson Farms on Highway 133 South between Feb. 7 and Feb. 29. The value of the stolen items was $119.
• Shavon Hargrove, of Fourth Avenue Northeast, reported a thief stole a CD player from his Mazda Prot้g้ Thursday. The value of the stolen CD player was about $220.
• Melissa Clayton reported a thief stole $476 cash from her wallet from her Ford Mustang while it was parked at Express Lane on South Main Street between 2:20 p.m. Saturday and 3:04 a.m. Sunday.
• Jamal Walker, of 15th Street Southeast, reported a thief stole three Davin’s wheel spinners from his Acura 3.5 RL between 10:30 p.m. Saturday and 7:57 a.m. Sunday. The value of the stolen spinners was $1,800.
• Needam Carver reported a thief damaged the air conditioning units at two rental properties on McMullen Road and stole the copper from inside between Feb. 18 and 2:45 p.m. Sunday. Damage and the value of the stolen copper was $4,100.
• Utahna Bentley, of Bob Taylor Road, reported a thief stole two mixed-breed puppies from her front yard between 6 p.m. Friday and 4 p.m. Saturday. The value of the stolen dogs was $300.
• Christina Johnson, of Highway 319 North in Norman Park, reported a thief stole a silver necklace with a Playboy bunny charm from her repossessed car Thursday. The value of the stolen necklace was estimated at $500. Johnson gave sheriff’s deputies the name of a male suspect.

• Phillip Bryan Potter, 45, of 178 Clinton Road, was charged Friday with driving with a suspended license and driving with an expired tag.
• Carmen Michelle Pecina, 35, of 227 Magnolia Ave., was charged Friday with theft by shoplifting.
• Kareem Washington, 20, of 909 First St. N.W., was charged Friday with duty to obey an officer, disorderly conduct and illegal possession of alcohol.
• Dontae Tyree Turner, 22, of 138 W. Mulberry St. in Funston, was charged Friday with driving with a suspended license and failure to stop at a stop sign.
• Gary Melton McMillan, 34, of 3562 Old Albany Road, was charged Saturday with DUI and reckless driving.
• Sammy Lee Myrick, 36, of 1020 Fifth Ave. S.W., was charged Sunday with simple battery (family violence).
• Ana Mirian Garcia, 21, of 1004 Lawrence Road, Lot 2, was charged Sunday with driving without a license, driving with a suspended tag and no proof of insurance.
• Christopher Bernard Smith, 32, of 817 E. Central Ave., was charged Sunday with criminal trespassing.
• Arturo Hernandez Vazquez, 27, of 222 North Pine Drive, was charged Sunday with an open container violation and giving false information to an officer.
• Pedro Tadeo Santizo, 27, of 251 North Pine Drive, was charged Sunday with DUI, driving without a license and two counts of a child restraint violation.
• Mateo Tomas, 37, of 478 Sardis Church Road, was charged Sunday with an open container violation.
• Evelio Ramos Lopez, 37, of 589 Circle Road, was charged Sunday with simple battery (family violence).
• Michael Trevor Haynes, 27, of 521 Fourth Court N.W., was charged Thursday with tampering with evidence and two counts of probation violation. Haynes allegedly tried to clean up the scene following the shooting of Jakira Strong Dec. 31.
• Johnnie W. Jones, 61, of 420 Ninth St. N.W., was charged Saturday with public drunkenness.

Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office
• Osvaldo Granados Magna, 27, of 181 Cedar St., was charged March 1 with being a pedestrian under the influence and two counts of probation violation.
• Corey Jermaine Flournoy, 26, of 812 Eighth Ave. S.E., was charged Friday with possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute.
• Joel Perez Santos, 39, of 602 Circle Road, was charged Sunday with driving without a license and failure to stop for a stop sign.
• Bryant Dewayne Pittman, 25, of 812 Seventh St. S.E., was charged Saturday with possession of marijuana less than one ounce, DUI, giving a false name to an officer and headlights required.

Georgia State Patrol
• Jeffery Scott Cannon, 18, of 1510 West Blvd., was charged Saturday with failure to stop at a stop sign and driving with a suspended license.
• Tracy Gary Bennett, 34, of 270 C.O. Kennedy Road in Pavo, was charged Friday with DUI, failure to maintain lane and failure to signal while changing lanes.

Other Incidents:
Moultrie Police
• Duncan Brown reported someone broke the passenger mirror and punched the hood of his GMC Sierra truck while it was parked at Friar Tuck Roller Rink on South Main Street Friday. Damage was estimated at $400. Brown gave officers the names of three male suspects.
• Antwon Tuff reported someone damaged the driver’s side mirror of her Dodge Avenger while it was on Seventh Avenue Southeast between 9:30 p.m. Saturday and 11:30 a.m. Sunday. Damage was estimated at about $500.
• Kirby Harnage reported someone threw two eggs at his Cadillac Fleetwood, hitting the hood and windshield, as he drove on West Central Avenue Sunday.
