ELLENTON — An Ellenton boy reported he was shot with a BB gun as he rode his bicycle Monday afternoon.
A Colquitt County sheriff’s deputy was called to Ellenton about 4:15 p.m. Monday about the incident.
The deputy met with the boy, who stated he was riding his bicycle on Colquitt Street when he was shot in the left arm.
The boy stated he looked in the direction where the BB came from and saw a 17-year-old male acquaintance aiming the gun at him. The deputy then found the 17-year-old, who stated he was shooting at some cans and accidentally shot the younger boy.
The shooter was not charged in the incident, and the deputy returned to patrol after gathering all the information.

• James Kelsey Jones, 39, of 615 11th St. N.W., Apt. B, was charged Monday with theft by shoplifting. He allegedly tried to steal a $10 Georgia Lottery ticket from the Easy Corner convenience store on West Central Avenue.
Colquitt County S.O.
• Jackie Ray Flinchum, 37, of 571 W. Mulberry St. in Funston, was charged Monday with battery (family violence).
• Savonta Lamier Slaughter, 40, of 1632 Old Doerun Road, was charged Sunday with obstruction, attempting to elude an officer, failure to stop at a stop sign and probation violation.
• Latrina Diane Davis, 43, of 107 Vinson St., Lot C, was charged Saturday with theft by conversion.
• James Edward Howell, 23, of 348 Christmas Road, was charged Friday with deposit account fraud.
• Juan David Giron, 27, of Moultrie, was charged Friday with an open container violation.
• Juan Hernandez, 26, of Regency Village Drive, Lot 10, was charged Friday with possession of marijuana and being a pedestrian under the influence.
• Marcus Edward Blakely, 29, of 217-A Third St. S.W., was charged Thursday with obstruction.
Georgia State Patrol
• Rafael Mendoza, 22, of 589 Circle Road, was charged Monday with driving without a license and weaving over a roadway.
Berlin Police
• Brandon Lee Bruce, 27, of 1770 Tillman Road, was charged Friday with an open container violation.
• Lonnie Sherrod King, 27, of 355 Railroad St. in Berlin, was charged Friday with armed robbery and failure to appear. He allegedly stole $425 cash from Jimmy Myers at Northgate Apartments on Fourth Avenue Northeast June 21.
• James Larry Hiers, 62, of 1770 Tillman Road, was charged Friday with DUI, a windshield violation and an open container violation.
Other Incidents
Moultrie Police
• Matthew Holton, of 11th Court Northwest, reported Monday a thief stole a Social Security check, a tube of toothpaste and a roll of toilet paper March 14. The value of the stolen items was $320.50. Holton gave officers the name of a female suspect.
• Dereck Lusby, of Camilla Highway reported Monday a thief stole a Sig Sauer 9mm pistol from his vehicle between Feb. 23 and March 8. The value of the stolen pistol was $350.
• An officer on duty reported hearing multiple gunshots being fired on Eighth Street Southwest Monday.
• Tracey Johnson, of Fifth Street Northwest, reported someone threw eggs onto the driver’s side of her Nissan Sentra Monday.
• An employee at the Quick Mart on Highway 133 South reported a thief pumped $32 is gasoline Friday and left without paying for it. The vehicle used was a blue GMC Jimmy, driven by a white male, and officers were given its tag number.
• Andrew Cordista, of Cherokee Road, reported a thief broke out a back door window and stole various items between 10:30 a.m. Thursday and 9:09 p.m. Sunday. The value of the stolen items was $85,000.
Colquitt County S.O.
• Paul Olliff, of Langford Street, reported a thief stole a 14-karat gold necklace and a Geneva watch between 1 p.m. March 18 and 12:13 p.m. Monday. The value of the stolen items was $135. Olliff gave sheriff’s deputies the names of two male suspects.
• Marcus Coasey reported someone threw a bottle at his Ford F-150, denting and scratching the front fender, while it was parked at a house on 30th Avenue Northeast Monday.
• Rachel Wilks, of Old Adel Road, reported a thief stole a pit Riley dog from its pen between 9:45 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. Saturday. The value of the stolen dog was $200.
• Katrina Griffin reported a thief stole a Whirlpool air conditioner and a turkey fryer from her house on Clarence Norman Road between March 16 and 4 p.m. Friday. The value of the stolen items was $600.
• Jimmie Hall, of Highway 319 North in Omega, reported Thursday someone used his credit card at Harvey’s and Wal-Mart in Tifton Nov. 15. The amount used on the credit card was $167.86.
