MOULTRIE — Colquitt Regional Medical Foundation held its fourth bi-annual Heartstrings for Hope on Thursday, March 23, to raise money for Colquitt Regional Hospice and to recognize new Founders Society members.

New members named to the Founders Society were Ameris, Community Foundation of Southwest Georgia, Dr. Terry Croyle, Dr. and Mrs. Ayman Hakim, the estate of Rufus Murphy, and Mrs. Michael Whittle. These individuals have each made a one-time or accumulated gift of $10,000 or more to the Colquitt Regional Medical Foundation.

Also recognized at Heartstrings were the new President’s Circle members, Dr. and Mrs. Mike Haney and Turning Point Care Center. The President’s Circle recognizes and honors those persons who have made a one-time or accumulated gift of $5,000 to $9,999 to the Colquitt Regional Medical Foundation.

Heartstrings for Hope was made possible because of generous sponsors of the event, who were the CRMC Volunteer Auxiliary, Barbara Vereen, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Vereen, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Vereen, Mobley Plant Company, Lasseter Tractor Company and National Beef of Moultrie.

Lynwood Hall chaired the event, which featured Broadway musical entertainment by Robert & Company of Atlanta and New York. The benefit was in memory of 93 patients served by Colquitt Regional Hospice over the last year. The money raised from the event will benefit Hospice patients.

Colquitt Regional Medical Foundation was established in 1988 to help Colquitt Regional Medical Center, a not-for-profit hospital, provide the newest medical technology, improve patient care, upgrade existing facilities, and furnish education and preventative health opportunities for the community.
