MOULTRIE — The Ebogglyst, a biblical poet (rapper), from Moultrie, by way of New Jersey, will be in concert at the Colquitt County Arts Center on Sunday, April 5, at 3 p.m. The Ebogglyst, also known as Eric Irvin, is a member of Heritage Church in Moultrie.
With plans to reach the masses with his message, his focus is on spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ to the youth, Irvin said. The Ebogglyst has performed for crowds of thousands throughout Georgia, Florida, and the entire region. He was recently offered a recording contract with Tate Music Group of Oklahoma.
Also in concert will be The Blendz, formerly The Gospel Blendz of Pelham and Camilla, Ga. The group consist of seven members, Dereck Stevenson, Benard Stokes, Robert Florence, Raynard Florence, Derrell Cannon, Willie Cannon and Michael Wright. Derrell and Willie Cannon were previously signed to boxer Evander Holyfield’s label, Real Deal Records, of Atlanta, Ga.
Todd Traboney, Joiful Noiz, Michael Madison, and Daniel Paul Hamilton, all of Moultrie, and Ja’Keria McClintock of Thomasville will also be performing in the concert.
The Ebogglyst CD, “151st Psalms,” may be purchased at several local vendors including the Christian Bookstore and Southern Grace Bakery.
