Funston fielding Relay for Life team

— FUNSTON — The City of Funston is sponsoring a team to participate in the American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life. This years theme is “Celebrate, Remember, Fight Back.”
Relay for Life is a 12-hour “Celebration of Life” sponsored by the Colquitt County Unit of the American Cancer Society and will be held at the Knuck-McCrary Sports Complex. The opening ceremony begins at 7 p.m. and the event ends at 7 a.m. on April 26. The city’s team name will be “Funston Fighters.”
Team leaders are asking for the community’s help through a donation to help support them. They have planned a variety of activities, including a poker run and a power tool raffle, and they have placed collection jars around Funston and team T-shirts.
