MOULTRIE — First Moultrie Holiness Deliverance Church, located at 920 Martin Luther King Jr. Dr. N.W., will have its spring revival Wednesday, April 8 - Friday, April 10, 7 p.m. nightly. The guest speakers will be co-pastors, Doris Parish and Joyce Brown.

Brown is the daughter of Willie and Estelle Brown, and she attended the public schools of Colquitt County. She furthered her education at Paine and Albany State Colleges and at Moultrie Technical College.

She currently works as a paraprofessional with the board of education in the special education department.

She became a member of First Moultrie Holiness Deliverance Church in 1974 under the pastorship of Overseer William Revills. She now serves as one of the co-pastors under the leadership of Chief Overseer Gladis Hall of Newton, Ga.

She “accepted her call” into the five-folded ministry as a teacher in 1976 and was given ministerial and leadership training under the leadership of her late founder and co-founder Isaiah and Ullainee S. Revills. This ministry is spearheaded by Apostle Felix Revills, the son of the founders, in Albany, Ga. The name of the incorporated ministry is Evangelical Faith Vision Ministry.

“While this ministry has reached out to people on a national and inter-national level, it will never lose its concern for our local community. Especially, the youth of today,” said Brown.

It was by working in this ministry that she was able to travel to New York, Florida, the Carolinas, and many other places to evangelize and lead song service. For about ten years, she has dedicated her summers as a volunteer to help chaperone young people on youth trips such as Six Flags Over Georgia and Texas, New Orleans, Disney World, Carowinds, Pigeon Forge, Billy Graham’s Library, and many more places.
