Thefts total more than $7,500

MOULTRIE — A total of six Colquitt County residents reported Thursday they were the victims of property theft. Items reported stolen ranged from jewelry, cash, electronics and computer equipment to cell phones, fishing rods and reels, clothing and air conditioning units.
The total amount reported stolen was approximately $7,657, but some thefts’ values had not been determined at the time of the report. Those who reported being the victims of theft were:
• Uella Greene reported Thursday an unknown person stole a Sony Ericsson cell phone, a Figaro Link gold bracelet, a Figaro Link gold necklace, a Sony Cybershot digital camera and a Sony Cybershot charger while she was attending a wedding at St. James Freewill Baptist Church on First Avenue Northwest April 15. The total value of the stolen items was $2,700.
• Willie Shealy reported an unknown person stole a Zebco rod and reel, an Omega rod and reel, a pink shirt, a black and white shirt, a burgundy shirt and a coffee maker from a residence on 12th Avenue Southwest Thursday. The total value of the stolen items was $125. Shealy provided officers with the name of a female acquaintance he suspects stole the items.
• Martha Lummus, of Fifth Avenue Southeast, reported Tuesday an unknown person had taken money out of her account various times between Dec. 28 and March 31. The unknown person took approximately $40 out with each transaction, but a total amount taken out was unknown at the time of report.
• Curtis Woodard reported an unknown person stole a window air conditioning unit from his rental property on Ellenton-Omega Road in Omega between 1 p.m. Sunday and 8 p.m. Wednesday. The value of the stolen air conditioning unit was approximately $400.
• Chandler Monk, of Elton Clark Road in Norman Park, reported an unknown person stole a Dell modem, a Belkin wireless keypad, a Belkin mouse, a Starlogic monitor, a Lexmark scanner/printer, a brass bed, a stereo with two 10-inch speakers, a Sony mp3/DVD player and recorder and a window air conditioning unit from his residence between Sunday and 9 p.m. Thursday. The total value of the stolen items was $3,632.
• Billy Glass, of Highway 33 South, reported an unknown person stole a utility trailer from his yard between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. Thursday. The value of the stolen trailer was $800.
Arrests
• Tamirah Wilkerson, 18, of 319 Ninth St. S.W., was charged Wednesday with simple battery and cruelty to children.
• Matthew Ward Stone, 22, of 507 Sirmans Ave. in Nashville, Ga., was charged Thursday with being a pedestrian under the influence.
• Juan Antonio Lara, 21, of 17820 W. Bryan Road, Lot 15, in Talequan, Okla., was charged Thursday with two counts of interstate interference with custody.
