Hill to speak at Sinner Friend Baptist Church

MOULTRIE — Sinner Friend Baptist Church in Hartsfield will have its Women’s Day on Sunday, May 11 at 11 a.m. The Rev. W.B. Sales is pastor and the guest speaker will be Lisa Clarke Hill.
Hill is a native of Moultrie and the wife of Timothy Alexander Hill. She has a one son and is a member of Grant Chapel A.M.E. Church, where she is one of her pastor’s stewards, first vice president of the Evergreen McBurrows Women’s Missionary Society, the Sunday school and vacation Bible school teacher for teens and church announcer; she also assists the kitchen committee.
She graduated with dual seals and honors, third in her class, from Colquitt County High School in 1995. She graduated with highest honors, summa cum laude, from Albany State University, in 1999, with a bachelor’s degree in social work and a minor in sociology. She also graduated summa cum laude from The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio, in 2000, with a master’s degree in clinical social work and an emphasis in school social work. She is a member of various local, state, national and international organizations and volunteers in her local community.
She has been a certified social worker for eight years at Colquitt County High School. She represents CCHS at attendance hearings, juvenile court, the Department of Family and Children Services, United Way’s yearly Day of Caring activities, and various other agencies in Colquitt County. She also heads up a group for teen-age mothers called R.A.M.S. (Reaching Adolescent Mothers for Success.)
