Thefts total more than $6,600

MOULTRIE — Four Colquitt County residents and three businesses reported Monday they were victims of property theft. Items that were reported stolen included gasoline, yard tools, office equipment, a watch, fishing rods and reels, and a food stamps card.
The value of the items reported stolen was estimated at $6,633. Those who reported being the victims of theft were:
• Matt Davis reported a thief stole his Tag Heuer watch after he had taken it off at the city pool on 15th Street Southeast Sunday. The value of the stolen watch was $1,500.
• Shatoya Moore, of Sixth Street Southwest, reported a thief stole her EBT card between 7 p.m. Sunday and 2:19 p.m. Monday. The value of the stolen card was estimated at $546. Moore provided officers with the name of a male suspect.
• An attendant at Express Lane on South Main Street reported a thief pumped $58 in gasoline Monday and left without paying for it. The vehicle used was a newer model Nissan, driven by a white male, but officers were not given its tag number.
• An attendant at the BP Station on South Veterans Parkway reported a thief pumped $35 in gasoline Tuesday and left without paying for it. The vehicle used was a red Nissan truck, driven by a Hispanic male, and officers were given its tag number.
• Gordon Lewis, of Highway 319 South, reported Monday a thief stole a Homelite blower, a Toro grass trimmer, a Scott fertilizer spreader, a Black & Decker battery charger, two six-foot ladders, a Green Ball eight-foot ladder, a mosquito magnet, a Truper rake and a Homelite grass trimmer and pawned them between Feb. 15 and Feb. 19. The value of the stolen items was $1,720. Lewis gave sheriff’s deputies the name of a female suspect.
• An employee at Clifton Seed Co. on Bellview Drive reported a thief kicked open the rear doors and stole a computer, a fax machine, Adventurer Pro scales, a copy machine, a vacuum cleaner, a microwave, a Nextel cell phone and two computer speakers between 5 p.m. Friday and 7 a.m. Monday. The value of the stolen items was $624.
• John Eubanks, of Highway 111, reported a thief stole a pressure washer, two air compressors, a Craftsman toolbox with tools, a Craftsman ratchet set, a tent, two grass trimmers, two sets of golf clubs and four Deep Sea rods and reels from his shed between Friday and noon Sunday. The value of the stolen items was $2,150.

• Patricia Ann Bailey, 48, of 1221 Elliot Brown St., Apt. 4, was charged Tuesday with theft by receiving stolen property.
