MOULTRIE — Four Colquitt County residents and three businesses reported Monday they were victims of property theft. Items that were reported stolen included gasoline, yard tools, office equipment, a watch, fishing rods and reels, and a food stamps card.
The value of the items reported stolen was estimated at $6,633. Those who reported being the victims of theft were:
• Matt Davis reported a thief stole his Tag Heuer watch after he had taken it off at the city pool on 15th Street Southeast Sunday. The value of the stolen watch was $1,500.
• Shatoya Moore, of Sixth Street Southwest, reported a thief stole her EBT card between 7 p.m. Sunday and 2:19 p.m. Monday. The value of the stolen card was estimated at $546. Moore provided officers with the name of a male suspect.
• An attendant at Express Lane on South Main Street reported a thief pumped $58 in gasoline Monday and left without paying for it. The vehicle used was a newer model Nissan, driven by a white male, but officers were not given its tag number.
• An attendant at the BP Station on South Veterans Parkway reported a thief pumped $35 in gasoline Tuesday and left without paying for it. The vehicle used was a red Nissan truck, driven by a Hispanic male, and officers were given its tag number.
• Gordon Lewis, of Highway 319 South, reported Monday a thief stole a Homelite blower, a Toro grass trimmer, a Scott fertilizer spreader, a Black & Decker battery charger, two six-foot ladders, a Green Ball eight-foot ladder, a mosquito magnet, a Truper rake and a Homelite grass trimmer and pawned them between Feb. 15 and Feb. 19. The value of the stolen items was $1,720. Lewis gave sheriff’s deputies the name of a female suspect.
• An employee at Clifton Seed Co. on Bellview Drive reported a thief kicked open the rear doors and stole a computer, a fax machine, Adventurer Pro scales, a copy machine, a vacuum cleaner, a microwave, a Nextel cell phone and two computer speakers between 5 p.m. Friday and 7 a.m. Monday. The value of the stolen items was $624.
• John Eubanks, of Highway 111, reported a thief stole a pressure washer, two air compressors, a Craftsman toolbox with tools, a Craftsman ratchet set, a tent, two grass trimmers, two sets of golf clubs and four Deep Sea rods and reels from his shed between Friday and noon Sunday. The value of the stolen items was $2,150.
Arrests
Moultrie Police
• Patricia Ann Bailey, 48, of 1221 Elliot Brown St., Apt. 4, was charged Tuesday with theft by receiving stolen property.
Colquitt County S.O.
• William Keith Vickers, 39, of 415 E. Eighth St. in Adel, was charged Sunday with criminal trespassing.
• Alfredo Cruz, 27, of Rossman Dairy Road, was charged Monday with speeding, a seatbelt violation, driving without a license and DUI.
Norman Park Police
• Ronnie Lee Wright Jr., 35, of 271 Lakeview Acres Road, was charged Monday with a window tint violation and driving with a suspended license.
Other Incidents
Moultrie Police
• Sabrina McCook, of Bay Rockyford Road in Hartsfield, reported Monday someone used her Social Security number to open four cell phone accounts. The amount charged to the fraudulent phones was about $1,000.
• An employee at Riverside Manufacturing on 11th Street Southwest reported someone cut a filler spout on a GMC Savanna truck while trying to steal gasoline between noon Thursday and 4 a.m. Monday. Damage was estimated at about $145.
• Shannon Shaventreon reported a male acquaintance hit him in the head with a pistol during a fight Monday.
• Sonya Roney, of Second Street Northwest, reported someone spray painted derogatory remarks and keyed her Nissan Sentra Tuesday.
Colquitt County S.O.
• Terry Stewart reported someone broke the driver’s side windows of his Ford Explorer while it was parked at a lot on Lakeview Acres Road between 8 a.m. and 2:33 p.m. Monday. Stewart gave sheriff’s deputies the name of a male suspect.
