MOULTRIE — The Ministries of Hope House, along with Colquitt Garden Manor, First Choice Home Medical, Moultrie Technical College, the United Way, Friendship Alliance Church, and the Volunteer Auxiliary of Colquitt Regional Medical Center are hosting a Community Health Fair Saturday, May 24, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the former Kelly Reeves Building, 402 W. Central Ave.
The event is in conjunction with Older Americans Month. Several local businesses and organizations are helping make the event possible.
More than 30 booths have been reserved for the health fair. The booths are in one of four areas of interest: Seniors, Medical, Community or Children.
The Community Health Fair is free, and it will offer a variety of free health screenings. There will also be information sessions that will teach, equip, and inform the community of services and activities offered.
There will even be a free YMCA Zumba class offered. Throughout the day door prizes will be given out and numerous booths will be distributing free items or services.
A free lunch will be provided for those attending the health fair from noon to 2 p.m. The Colquitt County Clothing Bank will also be open during the event.
The Hope House provides a free lunch each month, and about 500 plates are usually served. Anyone interested in volunteering for the monthly feedings can contact Hope House at 985-4673.
