3 charged in alcohol sting
MOULTRIE — Three people were apprehended Monday after they allegedly sold alcohol to an underage person April 28.
Jitendrakumar M. Patel, 49, of 2617 Seventh St. S.E., Apt. A, Hitinkumar Rambhai Patel, 32, of 146 Shadowood Drive, and Callie Rebecca Andrew, 22, of 448 Pioneer Trail, were each charged with the sale of alcohol to an underage person.
On April 28, the Georgia Department of Revenue conducted an operation in Moultrie where they sent an underage person to buy alcohol. The person was allegedly sold alcohol at the EZ Corner on West Central Avenue, the Quick Mart on the West Bypass and the Shell Food Mart on North Veterans Parkway. In each case, the employee allegedly did not check the person’s identification to verify they were 21 or older.

• John Mark Daniel II, 21, of 2305 Mitchell County Line Road in Hartsfield, was charged Monday with failure to obey a traffic control device.
• Mary Carmen Chavez, 28, of 516 Highway 133 S., was charged Tuesday with DUI (second offense), driving with canceled registration and driving without a license (fourth offense).
• Al Dean Roberts Jr., 17, of 916 Fourth Ave. S.W., was charged Tuesday with simple battery.
Colquitt County S.O.
• Dontavious Vontrell Dennis, 17, of 1648 Old Doerun Road, was charged Tuesday with burglary.
