MOULTRIE — A juvenile boy was charged with possession of a pistol by someone under 18 after Moultrie police officers allegedly found several guns in his vehicle Thursday afternoon.
A Moultrie police officer was called to a business on First Avenue Southeast at 1:54 p.m. Thursday about two men allegedly selling weapons. When the officer arrived at the business, he was told the men had left but were located farther down on First Avenue Southeast.
The officer spoke with the boy and a man, and they allegedly stated they were trying to pawn the guns so the boy could go on a mission trip with his church. Additional officers arrived at the scene, and the boy allowed them to search the vehicle.
The officers allegedly found a Savage 12-gauge shotgun, a Springfield .410-caliber rifle, a Marlin .22-caliber pistol. a Marlin .30-30 rifle and a Astra .22-caliber pistol in the vehicle during the search. The boy was placed under arrest and taken to the Moultrie Police Department, where he was turned over to his guardian. While at the police department, the boy allegedly stated he had bought the pistol from a man in his neighborhood.

• Fernando Leon Juarez, , of 116 W. Country St. in Ellenton, was charged Sunday with driving without a license.
• Simon G. Morales, 20, of 600 Tree Farm Road, was charged Thursday with driving without a license.
• Maria Gonzalez, 42, of 1412 Hutchinson Drive, was charged Thursday with violation of a city ordinance.
• A juvenile girl was charged Thursday with theft by shoplifting. She allegedly tried to steal two pairs of shorts and a T-shirt, valued at $94, from Belk’s on South Main Street.

• Robet Lee Taylor, 45, of 125 Bayboro Road in Norman Park, was charged Thursday with arson. He allegedly set fire to a house at 1701 Bob Taylor Road in Hartsfield the morning of Sept. 13.
• Cassandra Dawn Johnson, 37, of 413-G Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, was charged Sunday with being a fugitive from justice.

• Erin Taylor reported a thief stole her wallet, containing cards and her driver’s license, after she left it on her car trunk while at Wal-Mart on South Veterans Parkway Thursday.
• An employee at Murphy Express on South Veterans Parkway reported two thieves pumped a total of about $129 in gasoline between 3:57 p.m. Wednesday and 12:15 p.m. Thursday and left without paying for it. One vehicle used was a white Ford Explorer, and the other was a blue SUV.
• David Hernandez, of First Avenue Southeast, reported someone cut two tires on his Ford Explorer between 8 p.m. Wednesday and 6:29 p.m. Thursday.
• An employee at Larry’s Bait and Tackle on First Street Northeast reported a thief stole an air conditioning unit Friday. The value of the stolen air conditioner was about $500.

• Katherine Cannon, of Highway 319 North, reported a female acquaintance used her debit card to make several purchases between June 11 and 2 p.m. Thursday. The fraudulent transactions totaled $3,368.79.
• Lamar Nelms, of Manning Street in Funston, reported Thursday someone used his debit card number to make five purchases between May 26 and June 8. The amount of the fraudulent transactions was $110.
