Woman charged in knife assault; 2 men sought

Staff Reports

MOULTRIE — A Forest Park woman was apprehended after she allegedly cut a man with a knife early Wednesday morning.

Tammy Lanett Gray, 32, of 4142 Hendrix Drive in Forest Park, was charged with aggravated assault, criminal damage to property (second degree), tampering with evidence and possession of a knife during the commission of a crime.

Moultrie police officers were called to a house on Third Avenue Northwest about the incident about 1 a.m. Wednesday. The officers met with Quintin Jackson and Cory Donaldson, who took the officers to a house on Ninth Street Northwest where the incident took place. Donaldson had a cut on his hand and right leg and was treated at the scene by Colquitt County EMS, police reports said.

Once at the scene, Jackson told the officers Gray and two other men contacted him about playing a game of cards. When the three entered the house, one of the men pulled out a gun and began to choke Jackson, the report said.

While this was going on, Gray allegedly went into the kitchen and put on a pair of latex gloves and got two steak knives. One of the men choked and held down Donaldson as she allegedly cut his belt and pants off, cutting him in the right leg. He was able to escape and ran to a neighbor’s house, tearing out an air conditioning unit and climbing into the house through a window, the report said.

After Donaldson left, Jackson was allegedly ordered to take off all his clothes while one of the men held the gun to his head. After doing so, the three left the scene but allegedly slashed all four tires of his vehicle.

Other officers responded to the scene, and Gray was found there and was arrested. Officers were given the street names of the two men involved, “Police” and “D.”
