SAVANNAH — Moultrie City Councilmember Angela Castellow was elected to the Board of Directors for the Georgia Municipal Association (GMA) during the association’s annual meeting in Savannah June 24.
Castellow will serve as president of GMA’s 10th District. The district includes cities in Terrell, Lee, Calhoun, Dougherty, Worth, Colquitt, Thomas, Grady, Mitchell, Baker, Decatur, Miller, Seminole, Early and Calhoun counties.
“We are pleased to have Councilmember Castellow taking on this leadership position,” said GMA Executive Director Jim Higdon. “She’s well respected by her colleagues, and I’m sure she’ll provide great leadership to the cities in her district.”
In addition to her city responsibilities, Castellow is executive director of the United Way of Colquitt County.
Based in Atlanta, GMA is a voluntary, non-profit organization that provides legislative advocacy, educational, employee benefit and technical assistance services to its 500 member cities.
