9 residents lose $6,800 to thieves

MOULTRIE — Nine Colquitt County residents and a business reported they were victims of property theft over the weekend. Items reported stolen included cash, guns, electronics, home appliances, tires, car parts and gasoline.
The value of the items reported stolen was about $6,800. Those who reported being the victims of property theft were:
• An employee at Jack Rabbit on Highway 319 North reported a thief pumped $54 in gasoline Saturday and left without paying for it. The vehicle used was a light blue Ford Explorer, driven by a white male, but officers were not given its tag number.
• Sharron Boyd reported a thief stole $160 cash from her wallet after she left it at Rite Aid on Sixth Street Southeast between 4:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. Saturday. Boyd gave officers the names of two female suspects.
• Sarah Buckner, of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, reported a thief stole a washing machine, a bunk bed and two Rubbermaid bids, containing, clothes, pictures and other items, Saturday. The value of the stolen items was about $630.
• Fredrick Kissell of Pine Valley Circle, reported a thief stole a Smith & Wesson .38-caliber handgun, $500 cash and a GPS system from his unlocked Chevrolet Silverado Sunday. The value of the stolen items was $900.
• Wesley Hawkins, of Sylvester Drive, reported a thief stole $3,000 cash and a .32-caliber revolver between 9 p.m. and 10:45 p.m. Saturday. The value of the stolen items was $3,100.
• Lorenzo Manuel, of 10th Street Southeast, reported a thief stole four tires from a trailer in his front yard between 10 p.m. Saturday and 10:30 a.m. Sunday. The value of the stolen tires was $700.
• Shayla Register reported a thief stole an Apple iPod and her purse from her unlocked Nissan Sentra while it was parked on Ed Lee Road in Doerun Sunday. The value of the stolen items was $176.
• Savanna Warner, of Old Timey Trail, reported a thief stole a Deep Blue four-wheeler and a Honda dirt bike Friday. The value of the stolen items was $500.
• Larhonda Haynes, of Sumner Road, reported a thief stole two Barbie mp3 players, an mp3 player and two Leap Frog games between June 18 and 8:30 p.m. Friday. The value of the stolen items was $380.
• Richard Bachelor, of Smokey Bear Road in Norman Park, reported a thief stole catalytic converters and copper wire between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. Friday. The value of the stolen items was $200.
