City, county record 48 arrests

MOULTRIE — At least 49 people were arrested over the holiday weekend and the week prior in Moultrie and Colquitt County on a wide variety of charges, ranging from possession of illegal drugs to family violence.

Those arrests included:

• Randall Ervin Wilson, 43, of 1330 Highway 319 N. in Norman Park, was charged Thursday with no proof of insurance and defective equipment.

• Terry Lee Barber, 42, of 1816 Overlook Drive, was charged Thursday with possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute, no proof of insurance, driving with suspended registration, obstruction, DUI, a loud music violation and driving with a suspended license.

• Henry Slaughter, 51, of 415 31st St. S.E., was charged Thursday with an open container violation.

• Otis Lee Bonner Sr., 44, of 813 Sixth Ave. S.E., was charged Thursday with simple battery.

• Gilberto Vasquez, 43, of 510 Third St. N.W., was charged Friday with public drunkenness (second offense).

• Timothy Debarge Slaughter, 22, of 831 Shy Manor Drive, Apt. 1, was charged Friday with possession of marijuana less than one ounce and contempt of court.

• Andres Sanchez, 56, of 423 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, was charged Friday with possession of marijuana less than one ounce, disorderly conduct and giving false information to an officer.

• James Steven Carroll, 49, of 1836 Sylvester Highway, was charged Friday with resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness (second offense).

• Maria Guadalupe Soto, 38, of 150 Railroad St. in Berlin, was charged Friday with driving with a suspended license and lights required.

• Leatha Lowery Sanders, 44, of 1008 Highland Blvd., was charged Friday with DUI and failure to maintain lane.

• Wilma Rhodes, 39, of 1725 Dean Lane, was charged Saturday with battery (family violence).

• Michael Lee Rhodes, 33, of 1725 Dean Lane, was charged Saturday with battery (family violence).

• Carlos Valencia Gasper, 20, of 255 N. Pine Ave., was charged Saturday with driving without a license, failure to yield to a funeral procession and driving with suspended registration.
