Man reports being assaulted

Staff Reports

• Winona Pitts Ray, 48, of 3815 Old Doerun Road, was charged Monday with DUI, speeding and an open container violation.

• Miguel Angel Gutierrez Zarat, 23, of 1700 Overlook Drive, was charged Monday with driving without a license and a blue lights violation.

• Jason Chad McCollum, 30, of 1160 R.L. Norman Road in Norman Park, was charged Monday with speeding, driving with a suspended license and DUI.

Moultrie Police

• An employee at the Petro station on South Main Street reported two thieves broke out the glass doors and stole 10 cartons of Newport cigarettes Monday. Damage and the value of the stolen cigarettes was about $600.

• An employee at Crossroads Mission Store on First Avenue Northwest reported a thief stole clothing between 3 p.m. Saturday and 9:25 a.m. Monday. The value of the stolen clothing was about $300.

• An employee at J&S Medical Products on Seventh Street Southeast reported someone attempted to pry open a bay door between noon Friday and 8 a.m. Monday. Damage was estimated at $100.

• Angela Booth reported Monday a thief stole her husband’s Motorola cell phone while he was at Sanderson Farms on Highway 133 South in June and had used it to send several text messages. The value of the stolen phone and a text-messaging bill was about $245.

• Scrap Johnson, of Seventh Avenue Northwest, reported someone dented the roof, trunk, driver’s side fender and hood of his Chevrolet Malibu between Sunday and 7:30 p.m. Monday. Damage was estimated at $300.

• Phillip Kenney, of First Street Southeast, reported someone shot a kitchen window Monday. Damage was estimated at about $400.

• Marland Moore reported someone caused the roof of his Oldsmobile 88 to cave in while it was parked at a house on 10th Street Northwest Monday. Damage was estimated at about $350. Officers were able to get the names of five male suspects.
