MOULTRIE — The Miss Cotton Pageant will be Sept. 19 in Withers Auditorium, at the Colquitt County High School.

Girls between the ages of infant to 19 years old are eligible to enter, as long as they have a Colquitt County address. If applicable, contestants must attend school, must not be married or have been married and must not be pregnant or have been pregnant.

Prizes for the queens will include crowns, trophies, sashes and savings bonds and the runners-up will received trophies. All contestants will receive participation trophies. The optional categories winners will receive medallion necklaces and Miss Hospitality Queens will receive scepters, sashes and gift certificates.

The “early bird entry” fee will be $30 and must be paid by Aug. 17 and entries paid after that will be $40. The deadline is Aug. 31, with no exceptions. A “sibling discount” of $5 off each sister’s entry will be given. Sisters must live in same household. All optional categories are $5 per category to enter. Votes for Miss Hospitality are $1 a vote.

Berlin’s Got Talent will be held at 4 p.m., on Sept. 26, at the Berlin Cotton Festival. This is a talent show for any age and any talent. However, talent must be suitable for a family atmosphere. The entry fee is $5 and the deadline is Sept. 20. Cash Prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place winners.
