Man charged with false imprisonment

NORMAN PARK — A Norman Park man was apprehended after he allegedly walked into a house while a woman was taking a bath Wednesday evening.

James Harris, 53, of Conger Road in Norman Park, was charged with false imprisonment and burglary.

A Colquitt County sheriff’s deputy was called to a rural house about 6:40 p.m. Wednesday. She stated she was taking a bath when Harris allegedly came into her bathroom and stood behind her as she bathed, investigator’s report stated.

Harris allegedly made a comment to the woman, when she got out of the tub, that he was going to get his money or have her, one or the other. She told the deputy she owed Harris money for cutting her grass.

The woman told Harris that the money was in her car and as she went to get it, he locked the door, the report stated.

Arrests:

Moultrie Police

• Leon Daniel Shealey, 24, of 515-A W. Central Ave., was charged Wednesday with simple battery (family violence).

• Tiffany Shalette Calhoun, 25, of 1407 W. Jefferson St. in Thomasville, was charged Wednesday with giving false information to an officer and disorderly conduct.

• Kathy Shanett Reddick, 28, of 605 Love St. in Pelham, was charged Wednesday with giving false information to an officer and disorderly conduct.

• James Arthur Langley, 44, of 1009 First Ave. N.W., was charged Thursday with public drunkenness.

Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office• Jose Fernando Garza, 26, of 400-F 31st Ave. S.E., was charged Wednesday with two counts of forgery.

• Christopher Frederick Blalock, 48, of 1220 Sussex Drive in Tifton, was charged Wednesday with two counts of theft by receiving stolen property, two counts of forgery and theft by deception.
