1. No injuries have been reported in Colquitt County due to Tropical Storm Fay. However, numerous trees have been blown down and some property damage has resulted. Read Sunday's Moultrie Observer for more details.

2. Even though the economy is sour, Colquitt County's special local option sales tax receipts are keeping up with estimated

amounts to produce $30 million in community improvements. Observer staffer Alan Mauldin has the story in Sunday's Moultrie Observeer.

3. Berlin brought back its time-honored Cotton Festival last year and plans for this year will include a pageant with numerous categories for
