MOULTRIE — A Moultrie woman faces several charges after she allegedly got into a fight and tried to resist an officer Sunday morning.
Debra Ann Molden, 32, of 1313 13th Ave. S.W., was charged with public drunkenness, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and probation violation.
An officer was called to a house on 13th Avenue Southwest at 10:25 a.m. Sunday about a fight in progress. When he arrived at the scene, he spoke with Richawn Scott who said she called 911 after seeing Molden allegedly yelling at and pushing the homeowner, James Scott.
Following the alleged incident, Molden allegedly went to Ira Thompson’s house on 12th Avenue Southwest and asked for a ride to Harvey’s Supermarket. Thompson said he gave Molden a ride because he was familiar with her and saw she was in distress.
As Thompson drove his car by the officer, Richawn Scott identified it as the car Molden was riding in. The officer pulled the car over on 12th Avenue Northwest for an inoperable brake light and asked if Molden was the passenger. Moldenallegedly had ducked down in an attempt to hide herself from the officer.
When Molden got out of the car, she was placed under arrest.
While trying to put her in handcuffs, however, Molden allegedly tried to kick the officer. She was taken to Colquitt County Jail following her arrest.
