Thefts top $11,000

MOULTRIE — Six Colquitt County residents reported Tuesday they were victims of property theft. Items reported stolen included lawn mowers, yard tools, cash and coins, guns, a television, cigarettes and ice cream.
The value of the items reported stolen and damage caused during the thefts was about $11,405. Those who reported being the victims of theft were:
• Gloria Slaughter, of Sixth Avenue Northwest, reported a thief stole $140 cash, a bucket of ice cream and two packs of Newport cigarettes between 2 p.m. and 3:40 p.m. Tuesday. The value of the stolen items was $155. Slaughter gave officers the names of two female suspects.
• Sonny Weaver, of Bay Rockyford Road, reported a thief broke out a back door window and stole a Panasonic 50-inch television and a Browning 12-gauge shotgun between 10 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Tuesday. Damage and the value of the stolen items was $2,700.
• Darrell Funderburk, of Southlake Drive, reported a thief stole a 16-inch chainsaw, a grass trimmer and a leaf blower from his shed between Oct. 15 and 11:42 a.m. Tuesday. The value of the stolen items was $750.
• Frank Walker, of Tree Farm Road, reported a thief stole two Mopeds and a Troy Bilt grass trimmer from his shed between 7 p.m. Monday and 7 a.m. Tuesday. The value of the stolen items was $1,700.
• Kay Bivins, of Thigpen Trail in Doerun, reported a thief stole coins from a jar and coin containers between July 3 and 5:30 p.m. Tuesday. The value of the stolen coins was about $2,300.
• June Hegwood, of Highway 319 South, reported a thief stole a Cub Cadet riding mower between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. Tuesday. The value of the stolen lawn mower was $3,800.
Arrests
Moultrie Police
• Michael Anthony Martin Jr., 28, of 321 Ninth St. S.W., was charged Tuesday with battery.
• Keith Dewayne Sinclair, 29, of 8-A McDonald Court S.E., was charged Tuesday with aggravated stalking.
