MOULTRIE A Moultrie man was arrested after he allegedly threatened his doctor Monday afternoon.
Freddie Durden, 45, of 120 Hawthorne Drive, was charged Monday with making terroristic threats and acts.
An officer was called to Colquitt Regional Medical Center on South Main Street at 3:01 p.m. Monday about terroristic threats. The officer spoke with Dr. Michael Thayer, who stated Durden, a patient of his, was drunk and being uncooperative.
Thayer told the officer that, during the treatment process, Durden allegedly pulled out his IVs and threatened to kill him. Two witnesses also stated they heard Durden threaten Thayer. While the officer was waiting on statements from Thayer and the witnesses, Durden allegedly stated This is what I get for threatening a doctor.
A nurse came in and tried to get an IV out of Durden, but he allegedly stated it wasnt hurting him and pulled it out himself. He was then placed under arrest and taken to Colquitt County Jail.

Gregory Jonathan Emott, 17, of 311-C Seventh St. S.E., was charged Monday with theft by receiving stolen property.
Dontravise Troutman, 24, of 1401 First Ave. N.E., was charged Saturday with two counts of pointing a pistol at another person.
Colquitt County S.O.
Vickie Adderton Owens, 48, of 1629 Lower Meigs Road, was charged Monday with no proof of insurance and driving with an expired tag.
Alfredo Lara Sr., 24, of 185 Still Road in Ellenton, was charged Saturday with simple battery (family violence).
Carlos Hernandez Luna, 31, of 199 Lockworth Road, was charged Saturday with criminal trespassing.
Ottis Leonard Hargraves, 55, of 812 Doc Darbyshire Road, was charged Thursday with simple assault.
Erasmo Marroquin, 35, of 2925 Huntleigh Drive, Suite 2, in Raleigh, N.C., was charged Sunday with being a pedestrian under the influence.
Adrien Vazquez, 35, of 238-A Lakeshore Drive, was charged Friday with battery (family violence).
Carey Eldridge Spires, 41, of 5790 Highway 319 N., was charged Friday with criminal trespassing.
Sue Ann Hall, 36, of 391 Weaver Road, was charged Friday with deposit account fraud.
Allen Marion Massey, 45, of 1694 Daniels Road in Pavo, was charged Friday with two counts of theft by receiving stolen property and two counts of theft by deception.
Arturo Mateo Calderon, 26, of 250 Jonesboro Road S.E. in Atlanta, was charged Monday with driving without a license.

Jody Elizabath Doyon, 32, of 418 Jordan Road in Norman Park, was charged Sunday with DUI and failure to maintain lane.
Norman Park Police
Gilberto Pena Hernandez, 25, of 972 Omega Road in Omega, was charged Saturday with driving without a license and impeding traffic.
Berlin Police
Angel Ruis, 25, of 1715 14th St. E., Lot 25, in Bradenton, Fla., was charged Saturday with speeding and driving without a license.
Luis Medesto, of 1715 14th St. E., Lot 24, in Bradenton, Fla., was charged Saturday with an open container violation.

Moultrie Police
Jean Fuller reported a thief damaged an air conditioning unit at her house on 12th Avenue Southeast and stole all the copper from inside Saturday.
Ronnie Simpson, of Sixth Avenue Northwest, reported a thief stole a television, a DVD/VCR player, a cell phone and a battery charger between 5 a.m. and 2:48 p.m. Monday. The value of the stolen items was $1,080.
Bonnie Marchetti reported a thief stole two air conditioning units from Regency Village on Regency Village Drive Monday. The value of the stolen air conditioners was $1,200.
Anthony Coates, of Veterans Parkway South, reported someone slashed a tire on his car Monday.
Colquitt County S.O.
Juan Morales reported two thieves jumped on him out of woods as he walked on C.S. Powell Road and stole $400 cash between 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. Sunday. Morales had bruises on his face and a swollen lip and right eye from the incident.
Jan Miley reported Monday a thief stole a Quicksilver modem and horse registration papers from trailers she had left on Sauls Road. The value of the stolen items was $301.
