DA's office wants to spread Christmas cheer

Staff Reports

“Christmas waves a magic wand over this world, and behold, everything is softer and more beautiful.” — Norman Vincent Peale.

MOULTRIE — The Colquitt County District Attorney’s Office has a list of child victims who need a little holiday cheer in their troubled lives. The list includes children who have recently been the victims of sexual or physical abuse.

“Last year we saw the most wonderful outpouring from this community towards these children,” said victims advocate Karen Ambrose. “Some people expressed how much fun they had buying gifts. Some families adopted a child to purchase gifts for to teach their own children about reaching out to others who are not as fortunate. This year we are looking for that same support from the community to help touch a life of a child.”

If you or your organization are interested in participating, please contact Ambrose at (229) 616-7476.
