Calico Arts & Crafts Show set for this weekend

MOULTRIE — This weekend, the Calico Arts and Crafts Show will return with its usual array of more than 400 booths of artisan- and craftsman-made items that just might please that hard to please someone on Santa’s list.
Indoor and outdoor exhibitors will showcase a variety of handmade arts and crafts that include seasonal decorations, wreaths, pottery, jewelry, clothing, fabric purses, glass, iron and woodwork.
Speaking of Santa, he will also be in attendance at the show this year. Children who attend the show with their parents can visit with him and have their picture taken.
An assortment of food will be available in the food court area located inside the show grounds. Clogging teams from around the South will also entertain on the stage in the food court.
The site of the show is Spence Field, home of the Sunbelt Agricultural Exposition, located four miles southeast of U.S. Highway 319 on Highway 133 in Moultrie. Gates open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is $5 per adult; children 12 and under are free with an adult. No pets are allowed.
