Several arrests made


Staff Reports

MOULTRIE — Several arrests were made over the past couple of days on a variety of charges. They included:

Moultrie Police

• A juvenile boy was charged Tuesday with possession of marijuana less than one ounce.

Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office

• Matthew John Roberts, 27, of 170 George Flowers Road, was charged Monday with theft by taking.

• Michael James Ethridge, 27, of 129 Gregory St. in Sale City, was charged Monday with theft by taking.

• Lawrence Gregory Daniels, 32, of 221 Tommy Meredith Road, was charged Tuesday with driving with a suspended license.

• Michael James Vinson, 31, of 2806 Second St. N.W., was charged Tuesday with deposit account fraud and probation violation.

Other Incidents:

Moultrie Police

• Kristina Howard, of West Bethel Avenue, reported Tuesday a male suspect in Blue Ridge used her Social Security Number to open a bank account and wrote bad checks on it.

• Liliana Rodriguez reported a thief stole her purse, containing a cell phone and a check that was later forged and passed, while she was at the Department of Labor on North Main Street Tuesday. The value of the stolen items was $133.

Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office

• Keith Freeman reported Thursday a male acquaintance sold him a motorcycle but sold it to someone else before the full payment could be made. The amount Freeman paid but had not been returned was $2,000.

• An employee with the City of Norman Park reported a thief stole a Mighty M pressure washer from a storage shed on East Broad Street in Norman Park between 4 p.m. Monday and 9 a.m. Tuesday. The value of the stolen pressure washer was $1,500.
