Wide range of loot taken here over weekend

MOULTRIE — It was a busy weekend for thieves with 11 reports of property theft from residents and businesses. Items reported stolen included cars and car parts, cash, guns, electronics, utility trailers, gasoline, a grill and lawn maintenance equipment. There also was significant vandalism reported.
The value of the items reported stolen was about $22,786. Those who reported being victims of theft were:
• A Colquitt County sheriff’s deputy reported finding a thief had stole all four tires and rims from a Dodge Charger while it was parked at Robert Hudson’s dealership on First Avenue Southeast between 1:30 a.m. and 6:48 a.m. Friday. The value of the stolen items was $3,800.
• An employee at Speedee Cash on First Avenue Southeast reported a thief stole a night deposit from the deposit box Friday. The amount of the stolen deposit was $934.
• Sunen Canete, of Jacqueline Circle, reported a thief stole a utility trailer between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. Thursday. The value of the stolen trailer was $800.
• Dawn Spencer, of Ninth Street Southeast, reported a thief stole a grill from her front porch between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. Friday. The value of the stolen grill was $250.
• An employee at Express Lane on North Main Street reported a thief pumped $26.24 in gasoline Saturday and left without paying for it. The vehicle used was a white Nissan Altima, driven by a white female, and officers were given its tag number.
• Sandra Lewis, of 13th Avenue Southwest, reported a thief stole her Chrysler Concorde Saturday. The value of the stolen car was $10,000.
• David Allen, of Hyde Lane in Norman Park, reported a thief stole a Sony plasma television, a 12-gauge shotgun, a 20-gauge shotgun and a 30-30 rifle between 10:30 a.m. and 2:40 p.m. Sunday. The value of the stolen items was $1,350.
• Annie Young, of Edmondson Road, reported a thief stole a Poulan riding mower and a Homelite weed eater from her shed between Oct. 16 and 2:45 p.m. Sunday. The value of the stolen items was $2,375.
• Kelvin Ruis, of Kendallwood Church Road, reported a thief stole a Hooper 20-foot utility trailer from his yard between Wednesday and 2 p.m. Saturday. The value of the stolen trailer was $1,600.
• Alfredo Hatcher reported a thief stole an Oldsmobile Delta 88 after it broke down at the intersection of Highway 319 and Norman Park Road between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Friday. The value of the stolen car was $1,000.
• Tonya Lucas, of Alton Road in Ellenton, reported a thief stole a Husqvarna weed eater, a Craftsman leaf blower, an Echo chainsaw and a Wagner painter from her patio between 4 p.m. Wednesday and 10 a.m. Friday. The value of the stolen items was $650.
• Three teenagers were found hiding on top of The Moultrie Observer building Saturday evening. Nothing was reported stolen or damage.

• Kenneth Antonio Burks, 24, of 1014 Stephen St. in Thomasville, was charged Friday with possession of marijuana less than one ounce.
• Terry Leandre Bryant, 19, of 1014 Stephen St. in Thomasville, was charged Friday with possession of marijuana less than one ounce, failure to use a turn signal and no proof of insurance.
• Nannette Laureen Pace, 36, of 1406 Tree Farm Road, was charged Friday with failure to stop for a stop sign and failure to appear.
• Demetrius Ernest Jordan, 23, of 925 Fourth Ave. S.W., was charged Friday with disorderly conduct.
• Lillian Ann Nunn, 32, of 925 Fourth Ave. S.W., was charged Friday with disorderly conduct (second offense).
• Ricardo Ponce Gonzalez, 22, of 180 Trailer Park Road, was charged Saturday with DUI, driving without a license and failure to maintain lane.
• Sandra Duran Serrano, 18, of 644 Bluebird Road, was charged Saturday with headlights required and driving without a license.
• Vera Leggett, 41, of 410 E. Central Ave., was charged Saturday with DUI, an open container violation and being an habitual violator.
