Visitor reports missing $9,000

Staff Reports

MOULTRIE — A visitor to the Nov. 23 car show at Spence Field told Moultrie police Tuesday by telephone that he had lost $9,000 at the show.

Terry Argo of Temple, Ga., called police by telephone Tuesday afternoon and said he had an envelope with the money in his back pocket. He said he was helping other people move vehicles near the back gate. At some point, the envelope must have fallen from his pocket, he said, but he didn’t realize it until after he left Moultrie.

Argo said he called people he knew were still there, but they could not find his money.
