Thefts top $3,000

MOULTRIE — Two Colquitt County residents reported they were recent victims of property theft. Items reported stolen included various electronics, yard tools, guns and jewelry.
The value of the items reported stolen was $3,157. Those who reported being the victims of theft were:
• Mario Padilla, of Cool Springs Road, reported a thief stole three pitchforks and a roll of string between Dec. 22 and 8 a.m. Monday. The value of the stolen items was $195.
• Patie Lee, of Dunn Road, reported a thief stole $600 cash, jewelry, a Dell Inspiron laptop computer, three antique guns, a Nintendo Wii and three Apple iPods between 1:30 p.m. and 4:53 p.m. Tuesday. The value of the stolen items was $3,062.

• Timothy Lee Barrett, 22, of 692 26th Ave. S.E., Building U, was charged Tuesday with driving without a license.
• Shawanda Necol Shealey, 30, of 1104 14th St. S.W., was charged Tuesday with theft by shoplifting.
• Samantha Laurie Curnell, 30, of 1003 14th St. S.E., was charged Tuesday with defective equipment, three counts of a child restraint violation, failure to appear and deposit account fraud.
• Ranita Wyche, 21, of 95 Pine Lake Road in Thomasville, was charged Wednesday with driving without a license.
• Wiley Kenyatta Ransom, of 324 E. Lee St. in Sylvester, was charged Wednesday with driving with a suspended license, headlights required and driving with an expired tag.
• Sheila Renee Fender, 27, of 865 Mac Massey Road, was charged Tuesday with DUI, duty to stop at an accident, following too closely, improper use of a dealer tag and no proof of insurance.
• Jesse Barden, 20, of 446 30th St. S.E., was charged Tuesday with simple battery (family violence).
