Six puppies stolen from Southeast Moultrie home

MOULTRIE — Six mixed-breed puppies taken over a three-day period were among the property thefts reported recently to law enforcement authorities in Colquitt County.

On Tuesday, Lakedra Lynard, of the 700 block of 13th Street Southeast, reported that the puppies were taken on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.

She told the Moultrie Police Department that a man asked her daughter about the puppies and she told him they were not for sale. Two of the dogs were taken on Sunday, a third on Monday, and on Tuesday morning she discovered that the others were missing.

The dogs were valued at $10 each.

In other thefts:

• Gene Stringfellow, Moultrie, reported Tuesday the theft of a printer out of a 2011 Ford F-150 parked on Oct. 28 in the 600 block of Veterans Parkway South.



Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office

• Sam Rodencrantz, 200 block Doc Darbyshire Road, Norman Park, reported Tuesday the theft of three deer stands, a lock-on-limb deer stand, three tool boxes and tools, an unknown number of plow points, fence charger, battery charger, cross cut saw, 5 wooden ax handles, two ammo cans and tools, Orbis fly rod, Skil jig saw, Cobra CB radio, Zebco rod and reel, 100-foot drop cord, Skil circular saw, 15 raccoon traps, Masterlock, rear truck window and driver’s side moldings.

The total value of the property taken was $2,875, sheriff’s reports said.

• Faith Weitzel, 1000 block Holmes Drive, reported Tuesday the theft of a Sony Cybershot digital camera.



Arrests

Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office

• Arturo Sanchez Hernandez, 38, 370 Wilder Road, was charged Tuesday with failure to stop for stop sign and driving without a license.

• Kristopher John Watson, 36, 642 Clarence Jones Road, was charged Tuesday with three counts of forgery and two counts of probation violation.

• Dechane Lavonte Williams, 22, 419 First Ave. S.W., was charged Monday with two counts of probation violation.



Moultrie Police Department

• Kingsley Alonzo Simon, 27, 1497 Second St. S.W., was charged Tuesday with probation violation.

• Jose Noriega Beltran, 29, 2816 First St. N.W., was charged Tuesday with no license, no insurance and canceled registration.

• Richard Allen Shifflett, 37, 452 Bill May Road, was charged Tuesday with no insurance and suspended tag.



Georgia State Patrol

• Patricia Hardy Guzman, 54, 480 Lawrence Road, Pavo, was charged Tuesday with no insurance, driving while tag is suspended and improper passing.

• Michael Xavier Spencer, 21, 231 McGraw Drive, Dixie, was charged Tuesday with possession of marijuana and seat belt violation.



Property damage

• Emory Tolbert, Doerun, reported Tuesday that he was struck from behind while he was stopped at a stop sign at the intersection of Third Avenue and 11th Street Southwest.

Tolbert told the officer that the impact knocked his glasses off and he bent over to get them, and when he looked back up the other driver left.

The 1995 Cadillac Tolbert was driving had damage to the trunk, right tail light and bumper, police reports said.
