William Marvin Cochran
MOULTRIE — William Marvin Cochran, 72, of Moultrie died Sunday, Sept. 9, 2007 at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.
At the request of Mr. Cochran, no services will be held. After cremation, his cremated remains will be kept by the family, to be joined by his wife’s cremated remains at her death.
Born June 1, 1935 in Thomasville, he was the son of the late William Alton Cochran and Maude Arnold Cochran. He was an office machine technician for 30 years with Index Office Supply, and then retired from Reynolds Metals with 16 years of service at the Moultrie Container Plant. He served eight years in the Georgia National Guard. He was a member and Ordained Deacon of Trinity Baptist Church, where he served as an usher, 13 year old boys Sunday School Teacher and Training Union Leader. He enjoyed fishing, yard work and repairing antique clocks. He loved to tell jokes to friends and strangers alike, and seemed well liked by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
Surviving is his wife of 52 years, Rose Stephens Cochran of Moultrie and six nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Baptist Church or the Moultrie/Colquitt County Humane Society.
The family may be contacted at the residence, 1728 4th St., S.E. in Moultrie.

Arthur “Ott” Russell
MOULTRIE — Arthur “Ott” Russell, 82, of Moultrie, formerly of Coolidge, died Saturday, Sept. 8, 2007 at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.
Graveside rites will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 12, at Murphy Cemetery with the Rev. Chuck Scarborough officiating.
Born June 8, 1925 in Madison County, Ga., he was the son of the late John and Lizzie Norton Russum. He was a World War II Army veteran and was a retired welder. He was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by one brother and four sisters.
