Deborah Funderburke Roberts

MOULTRIE -- Deborah Funderburke Roberts, 37, of Moultrie died Monday, May 5, 2003, at her residence.

Services will be held at 3 p.m. today, May 7, at First Baptist Church with Dr. Jerry Mahan, and the Revs. Andy Cashwell and Julian Griner officiating. Burial will be in Baker/Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Jon Edwards, Alan Mathis, Charlie Hoes, Joey Hathcock, Jeff Taylor, Steve Tyus and Buzz Register.

Born Sept. 3, 1965, in Chicago, Ill., Mrs. Roberts was the daughter of Betty L. Sharpe and Don F. Funderburke. She was a graduate of Colquitt County High School's class of 1983. She was a loving mom and a homemaker. Mrs. Roberts was a Christian and was a member of First Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Shelton E. Sharpe.

Survivors include her husband, Don Roberts of Moultrie; her daughter, Ashley Lane Roberts of Moultrie; her son, Zane Taylor Roberts of Moultrie; her mother, Betty L. Sharpe of Cleveland; her father, Don F. Funderburke of Charlotte, N.C.; a brother, Shawn Chris Funderburke of Gainesville; sisters, Mary Pelham and husband John of Tampa, Fla., Martha Cox and husband Jim of St. Louis, Mo., and Marie Sylvester and husband Rick of Winston-Salem, N.C.; and her parents-in-law, Earl and Shirley Roberts of Moultrie.

Baker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.



Ottis Franklin Truluck

HARTSFIELD -- Ottis Franklin Truluck, 82, of Hartsfield died Sunday, May 4, 2003 at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

Services were held at Funston Baptist Church at 2 p.m. Monday with the Rev. Chuck Scarborough officiating. Burial followed at Funston Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Eddie Summerlin, Ben Summerlin, Jerry Summerlin, Rodney Stephenson, Billy Truluck and Jim Williams.

Born in Colquitt County Oct. 12, 1920, Mr. Truluck was a retired farmer, carpenter and co-owner of Truluck Employment Agency and Truluck Secretarial Services. He was of the Baptist faith.

Mr. Truluck was preceded in death by his parents, Doshie Johnson Truluck and Andrew Truluck; a brother, J.D. Truluck; and two sisters, Ocie Truluck Bailey and Beatrice Truluck Pope.

He is survived by wife Winelle Summerlin Truluck of Hartsfield; a brother, Audie Truluck of Moultrie; a sister, Nadine Truluck James of Pelham; several nieces, nephews and other family members.

Cobb Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.



James Louis Dorough Sr.

MOULTRIE -- James Louis Dorough Sr., 81, of Moultrie died Tuesday May 6, 2003, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 8, at Harrell-Faircloth Funeral Home with the Revs. J.E. Moak and Terry Webb officiating. Interment will follow in Pinecrest Memory Gardens.

Born Feb. 6, 1922, in Atlanta, Mr. Dorough was the son of the late James Wellington Dorough and Bertha Beatrice Jones Dorough. He married Ruth Roland McGaw, daughter of Will F. and Allie V. McGaw of Union City, Tenn., in 1943. Mr. Dorough moved to Moultrie in 1965. Following the untimely death of wife Ruth in 1965, he married Olis Elaine Vickers Summerour, daughter of Drew Luther Vickers Jr. and Olis Amelia Harrell Vickers of Moultrie, in 1966, and adopted her children.

Survivors include his wife, Elaine, and five children, James Michael Dorough, Vickie Elaine Maule, Amelia Ann Parker, Air Force Maj. James Louis Dorough Jr. and Robert Drew Dorough; a brother Allen Dorough, and sister, Jeanette Hunt, both of Atlanta; grandchildren Jacqueline Michelle Dorough Soper of Colchester, Conn., Lauren Amelia Parker and Leah Beth Parker of Russellville, Ala., James Riley Dorough and Sarah Nichole Dorough of Abilene, Texas, Robert Drew Dorough Jr., William Reid Dorough and Jameson Cole Dorough of Jacksonville, Fla.; and great-granddaughter Gabriella Marie Soper of Colchester, Conn.

Visitation will be immediately following the service.

MOULTRIE -- Rogelio Padilla, 42, of 675 D.H. Alderman Road, died Sunday, May 4, 2003, at his residence.

Arrangements will be announced by Baker Funeral Home.
