Geraldine B. Dueitt

CORDELE — Geraldine B. Dueitt, 69, of Cordele died at her residence Saturday, Oct. 14, 2006.

Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Rainey Family Funeral Services at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 16, with the Rev. Roy Hicks officiating.

A native of Worth County, Mrs. Dueitt was the daughter of the late Roy Turner Baker Sr. and Lilly Lois Hayes Baker. She was a homemaker and a member of Emerald Hill Baptist Church in Moultrie.

She is survived by three sons, Willis Mathis and Aaron Pitts Sr. and his wife Sondra, all of Cordele, and Edward O. Dueitt Jr. of Polk City, Fla.; a brother, Roy T. Baker Jr. of Lakeland, Fla.; nine grandchildren, Roy Mathis and his wife Paige, Troy Pitts Jr. and his wife Brandy, Dean Pitts and his wife Heather, Samantha Huckaba, Angela Mathis, Christy Mathis, Blake Pitts, Jacob Burnett and Adam Burnett; eight great-grandchildren; her sisters-in-law, Virginia Baker and Retha Baker, both of Thomasville, and several special nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Owen Dueitt Sr., and two brothers, Milford Gene Baker and James F. Baker.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service Monday, Oct. 16, from noon until 2 p.m.

Matthew D’Artagnan Price Yount

MOULTRIE — Matthew D’Artagnan Price Yount, the infant son of Candace Marie Land and Richard Price Yount, died Friday, Oct. 13, 2006, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

Cobb Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
