MOULTRIE — Lamar Funderburk Seay, 73, of Moultrie, died Saturday, June 15, 2013, at Archbold Medical Center  in Thomasville.

Graveside rites will be 11 a.m., today, June 18, at Westview Cemetery with the Rev. Loren Hildebrant officiating.

Born Oct. 13, 1939, in Moultrie, he was the son of the late Math “Buddy” Seay and Katherine Martin Seay. He retired as a vice-president with Southwest Georgia Bank. He served in the National Guard and was of the Baptist faith.

“He was a devoted father,” his family remembered. “He enjoyed fishing, woodworking and spending time with his grandchildren.”

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Raymond Seay.

Survivors include two daughters, Catherine S. Chastain and husband Paul of Watkinsville, Ga., and Miranda S. Mullins and husband Rodney of Moultrie; one sister, Carol Nichols of Young Harris, Ga.; two grandsons, Matthew T. Mullins and Nathan T. Chastain; and his aunt, Margaret Bannister and husband Ray of Coolidge.

The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, June 17, at Cobb Funeral Chapel.

Cobb Funeral Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
