MOULTRIE — Marvin “Bob” Pace Sr., 61, of Moultrie, died Friday, Nov. 9, 2012, at South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta, Ga.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 17, at Mother Easter Baptist Church, where the Rev. Freddie Castle will officiate. Burial will follow in the St. James Pallbearers Cemetery #2, with the repast to conclude at the E.H. Hopkins Fellowship Hall. Frederick Phillips, Spencer Pace, Billy Pace Jr., Nathaniel Pace Jr., Bernard Pace and Derrick Phillips will serve as pallbearers.

He was born on May 3, 1951, in Mitchell County, to the late Johnny Pace Sr., and Beulah Mae Leverson Pace. He was employed as a carpenter for more than 45 years. He was a member of St. Paul Baptist Church in Worth County. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, football and cooking, his family remembered of him.

He was preceded in death by his father; brother, Johnny Pace Jr.; and a host of aunts and uncles.

Survivors include his wife of five years, Carolyn L. Daniels Pace of Moultrie; four sons, Marvin S. Pace Jr. of Ochlocknee, Ga., Dexter Walker of Moultrie, Victor Walker of Baran, Africa, and Kary Elliott of Moultrie; one daughter, Laquiette Pace of Moultrie; five brothers, Willie Pace Sr. and wife Dorothy, Billy Pace Sr. and wife Madene, Charlie Pace, Nathaniel Pace Sr. and friend Gloria A. Copeland, and Bernard L. Pace Sr. and friend Jennifer Moore, of all Moultrie; three sisters, Helen Pace Myers and husband David of Chickamauga, Ga., Lillie Pace Hill of Moultrie, and Emma Pace Grier of Chattanooga, Tenn.; three grandchildren, Kameion Pace, Shontarien Pace, and Jamoree Pace, all of Moultrie; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friend.

Final arrangements have been entrusted to Luke Strong And Son Mortuary, Ltd.
