Rants and Raves for March 22

The costs

“The CRMC board has spent a lot of money in this recent issue that will take away from the maintenance and operation of the facility. We can be glad that this matter didn’t go to trial on any front. The public would have had to pay out much more.

You know better

“Mr. Duggan do you really think someone will take responsibility and resign in the CRMC issue. You’ve been on the board. You should know better.

No admission?

“Attorney John Carlton. You said that the hospital admits to nothing...well, it wasn’t necessary. The fines speak for themselves. It would show a lot of character if you would admit it and say it won’t happen again.

More to the story

“Following Dr. Trescott’s letter about the sponge lawsuit, I asked the Observer’s editor why the medical people did not respond to the accusations of the lawsuit in the Observer’s story. The editor informed me that the hospital’s attorney and public relations department were contacted more than once and those parties decided it was best for them not to comment . He said that was their choice.
