Rants and Raves for March 22

The cost

“ Iraq is the most costly self-fulfilling prophesy in history. How costly? About $500 billion in interest accruing debt so far. Who is loaning us that kind of money? China for one.

Awash in dollars, they’re loaning it back with interest in an effort to sustain its value. We’ll have to work hard and a little longer to see them realize a profit on the folly of our foreign policy! Now, how does that work for you, our nation’s interest, or the common good? There’s a problem with the calculus this administration is using in what it is calling our National Security!

Cleland Rant

“Why should Saxby apologize? Max Cleland was playingwith a grenade. He was not injured in combat. Get your facts straight.

God will get you

“Dwain Walden, you should double check your miserable columns before they are published. Some of them are bordering on being vulgar and filthy. You might sell more newspapers that way but one day you will be answering to God.

Free speech

“If a white man had made the same comments that Obama's preacher had made there would be a stink from here to eternity. Don't believe me? Look what happened to Don Imus. He was practicing his right to free speech, too.

John McCain

“Someone should remind John McCain that we are fighting in Iraq and not Viet Nam. He is taking out his frustrations on the wrong country.
