“Thank you so much for the continued front page coverage of the Art Center activities. I have been to many galleries and museums in America, Europe and Mexico. The Moultrie Arts Center ranks among the best I've seen. Folks take an hour or so and visit this special place.

For the students

“To those of you who were late to the Grand March and weren't admitted, don't you know how to tell time? Most parents of seniors were there half an hour early, not half an hour late. Do baseball games, football games, or movies wait for you to show up before they start? Besides, the Grand March was for the students, not the spectators.

The firing

“After reading about the firing of the Colquitt County shop supervisor, Charlie Carr in Saturday's paper. I believe Mr. Byrd wanted to fire Billy Herndon, But instead he fired Charlie Carr because he could! Isn't that abuse of power? Shame on you, Mr. Byrd and all the commissioners!
