Good job
“The school adminstrators did a great job with the gun episode. I personally appreciated the way the teachers were informed of it in a meeting at the end of the day.
I hope the community does not think that thugs are running wild on campus because that school is alot safer than some of the environments our kids come from.
In response
“About the boy who broke someones' car mirror. Those kids, and the parents of those kids who where picking on and bullying this child, should also be held responsible for that childs violent outburst. The mental and emotional damage they have done to that child, far outweighs the petty property damage that happened.
No good choice
“With the candidates we have running for president this year, it seems our country is going to be in trouble for the next 4 years no matter who wins. I'm not impressed by any of them. Looks like we're going to have to call in Rambo to get things taken care of.
Enjoyed it
“Mr. Walden, I thoroughly enjoyed you column Sunday ‘Been there, done that.’ Indeed, many of us have lived below or within our means all our lives. These people come off as if they have discovered something. Thanks for your commentary. It’s down to earth, refreshing and it gives me a smile.
Transit system
“Let’s go back to the drawing board and see if there’s some way to have some kind of transit system in our community. I think the times and the oil prices will demand us to do that.
Applause
“Congratulations to the Moultrie -Colquitt County Library for your 100th Birthday.
Thanks for all you do for our Community.
Selling papers
“I feel sure those who support Confederate Memorial will continue to be blasted in the Rant and Raves. It sells papers dosen't it Mr. Editor!
A reminder?
“ Iran has called U.S. dollars worthless pieces of paper and switched to Euros for its oil transactions. Meanwhile, another carrier, the U.S.S. Lincoln, has been ordered to ply the Persian Gulf ‘. . . as a reminder,’ says Secretary Gates. What that may be a reminder of is left to the imagination . . . of everyone.
Your axis
“Oh! My! To the ranter that says global warming is not in the Bible. Perhaps not, but it seems I do recall some Biblical reference to destruction by fire. Either way, I must say, I think someone has tilted your axis.
