Rant and Rave for May 21

CRCT

“It looks like the inclusion policy isn’t making higher scores for the CRCT."

Poor attendance

“I attended the memorial service for fallen law enforcement officers. The attendance was very sparse. Does the public not care?"

Taxpayers too

“Remember that Bush’s remarks in Israel came from speech writers. He was relying on the teleprompter which indicates Karl Rove is still in the works."

Crime coverage

“Remember when a couple years ago everyone was scared to go tot he beach because of shark attacks? It seemed that every week there was another shark attack, but in reality shark attacks was down that year, it was because the news covered every little incident over and over that made people think that sharks had gone crazy. Same thing here with crime, the newspaper reports ever little detail over and over so people assume that it is out of control. While there is a crime problem, just like every other community has, it is not record breaking. There was even a story a while back talking about how over all crime and calls to the police were down in Moultrie. Accentuate the Positive."

Crime reports

“I for one don't think that the paper should not cover crime, but why make every report into a headline when there is so much more that deserve the spotlight than a bunch of low life thugs."
