Good grasp
“Barack Obama’s statements on ‘60 Minutes’ show he has a good grasp on the difficult job of getting on track again. With people like Sam Nunn on his transition team, it appears he will have wise people advising him rather than the ‘yes' crew Bush preferred.
Observation
“The election of Barack Obama to the presidency shows that hard work and perseverance can help you achieve the American dream. So pull up your pants and go after it.
Over their heads
“Your editorial about Obama and those who say he is a Muslim was very appropriate and thought-provoking. Unfortunately for so much of the public, you were writing over their heads.
We'll regret it
“I don’t care what you say, Obama is a wolf in sheep’s clothing. He’s a Muslim and we’ll regret the day he took office.
Muslim or not
“I don’t really care if Obama is a Muslim as long as he will lead this country out of this quagmire we’re in. Heck, I know some Baptists I don’t trust and some I’m downright afraid of.
Amazing
“It’s amazing to read ignorant comments such as ‘Taxes are the redistribution of wealth’. I am sorry to say, but this is inaccurate. Taxes are the generating of revenue to provide governmental services.
Redistribution of wealth is taxing for the purpose of ‘leveling the playing field’ so all can have the same opportunity, regardless if you have worked hard or not. Surely if you voted for Obama you must familiarize yourself with his Marxist principals.
Wealth
“Everyone is in favor of redistribution of wealth. Those who don’t have it, want some. Those who have it, want more. I’m really amused at the word games we play when it comes to government and politics.
Gun regulations
“I just overheard a discussion about gun control. I’m a gun owner but I have no problem with there being restrictions such as no teflon coated bullets being allowed to the public, background checks being required and not allowing fully-automatic weapons to the public. That’s just a matter of common sense.
The NRA would do itself proud to back some common sense restrictions.
Had our forefathers known about street sweepers, Uzis, etc., they would certainly have factored the Second Amendment accordingly.
