Before it's too late

MOULTRIE — Dear editor:

What in the world is going on in Washington?  We have veterans who were and are being wounded in battle and cannot get medical care.  Obama doesn’t know about anything unless he sees it on TV.  His number one liar resigned, I wonder who will take his place.

Illegals come across our border and he does not enforce the laws, he even turned over 30 thousand convicted felons loose that were to be deported.  We have a military member held in a Mexican jail for entering the country by taking a wrong turn and Obama doesn’t have the time to pick up a phone and get him released.  I think that a sitting president who will not enforce the law and will not let law enforcement enforce the laws is grounds for impeachment.

Speaking of breaking the law, Obama just turns five terrorist loose for the return of one prisoner.  The last time a president was instrumental in the release of a prisoner, he came back to fly an airplane into the twin towers.  During peace talks Israel was trading prisoners and stated they would not release anyone who had blood on their hands.

But, dear old Bill Clinton insisted that they turn all of them over regardless of their sins.  Congress must be notified thirty days prior to any prisoner exchange.  According to the military members who served with the so-called prisoner he laid down his weapons and walked away from his post.

We spend millions per year to take care of illegals but we don’t have money to take care of our veterans.  He can send them off to get wounded but he can’t give them medical care.  Veterans Affairs people are like the IRS ... a joke.  Members of professional sports are making money for playing sports and military are making next to nothing.

What is wrong with this picture?  We have members in Congress drawing large salaries, medical care, and retirement while our military goes off to battle and what do they get?  We give millions a year to countries in foreign aid to countries that would not spit on the United States if we were on fire but we can’t take care of our veterans.

Speaking of money why isn’t anyone asking Hillary Clinton what happened to the six billion dollars that went missing on her watch.  We read about it but nothing is done to find out what happened to it.  That is a large sum of money to go missing and no one to answer for it.  I guess if she becomes president (that’s a scary thought) she could get away with some real money.  Harry Reid illegally gave money to his grandchildren and nothing is done about it.

There is a shortage of jobs in the U.S., Obama won’t sign to let the pipeline construction start, and he wants to shut down coal mining, and reduce the carbon footprint.  Scientists from all over state that there is no global warming; in fact they say it is cooler now.

No drilling for oil when scientists tell us there is more oil under the United States than all the Middle East.  We could be oil independent in a few short years and think of the jobs it would create.

The one thing that I hope and pray for is the Benghasi panel to find the truth and punish the ones who are guilty.  Then the IRS, Fast and Furious, the EPA, the land grab, the guns grab, etc.. Just to name a few.  The president has wiped his feet all over the Constitution and no one is holding him responsible.

I mean you read and see Impeach Obama but no one does it.  If we continue letting him break the law we will see the end of our country.

He has already taken God or the mention of the word from America.  America please wake up before it’s too late.

Should the U.S. negotiate with groups it considers terrorists?

No. Never.
Generally no, but prisoner exchanges are an exception.
Negotiation will be required to end the conflicts we have with those groups.
